I have a 55 gallon tank and everyday when i go to check the tank and feed the fish there is a dead fly floating around in the water so i take it out and next time i go there is another one?? what is going on??

Get an Archer fish, that'll solve your problem.

Or really, any surface dwelling fish that'll go for bugs, an Archer would do the best in a 55 gallon though.

Seems like flys want your water. Try to flood your neighbors front lawn, see if that gets rid of them.

hows your water maintenance. flies go after rotting/decaying matter. so check for missing fish or food that is rotting or do a fairly large round of maintenance.
