FM x Convict breeding

I have a 2.5 inch female convict and a 2.5 inch male FM. I want to try to breed them. They are in the same tank, and each has one end. The FM is a bit more dominant. He constantly flares at her, (but no one in the tank ever gets hurt not even a bit of a torn fin) she sometimes will flare back but usually just pretends like she doesnt see him. How can i try to get them to breed. I need tips. And what kind of pairing behavior should i look for in both of them? Thanks ......Drew

Why not try to get another firemouth instead of trying to get a hybrid. The fm x con will not look as good as either parent.

well i have another but he is also a male, and dont want to get rid of the convict or have her in there while breeding goes on. i just thought that since they were together i might as well try to breed them for fun and if not than whatever.
