The same but with no liverock. Runs the basic stuff....skimmer, sump or other means of filtration.

if you had LR it would be, or you'd have o run them with some bio media.

Is anybody her keeping saltwater tanks with no LR at all ? and what are you using for filtration ? thanks for you help.

Yes and I just use a canister filter and a protein skimmer. But I don't see why you wouldn't want liverock. I guess cost maybe, but it helps a lot with biological filtration and looks good, not to mention all the neat hitchhikers that come with it.

yes its mostly the cost, the cheapest starts at 20 $ a kilo.

I suggest searching around for fellow aquarists looking to dissassemble a tank and whatnot. You can get some awesome deals on liverock. I got 100 lbs of it from a guy taking apart a tank....all for $30. :)

if you look around online like craigslist or ebay, or even liveaquaria, there's stuff for as cheap as $3 a pound $6.50 a kilo, american. not sure what that makes out to in Norwegian
