I built the type II DIY overflow (the one that doesn't surface skim) a few months ago. I capped the end that goes in the tank and drilled a bunch of 1/4" holes in it. It works fine, but my mouthbrooder just spit a batch of babies in the tank early and I don't want them to be sucked down to the sump. So, I was wondering if anyone knows a website or link for a place that sells a coarse foam filter I could slide onto the pipe to keep the babies from getting sucked down? The pipe is 1.25" diameter. Thanks!

Just take a piece of stocking and slide it over...
