foam on top of tank????

is foam accumulating on top of the water line normal????
i checked and its not any kind of soap any its been like like sinces the past week. my fish are normal but they have trouble eating due to the foam. wat can i do.

Water change, and keep an eye on excess food. I had that a while ago too- seems to be too much protein in the water.
 
I agree. I would also guess that your water level has some to do with it, too. (power filters cascading into tank)
What's your tank load? (tank size, fish load, filtration)

30g, 3 tiger barbs 2 plecos 1 JD ,for filtration i have magnum 350 and a emp 350.

Are you medicating the tank at all? I know that Melafix will have some soapy looking foam.
 
nope every time i do a water change i add salt. would salt be the problem


now the whole top is full of foam
