Yay, another cory guy, benny will like this.

Welcome Ian. Nice camera (I have one just like it at home). Post some pics in the gallery, let's see what you've got!!! BTW, what lenses (besides the stock) do you have? there are a couple of great aquatic lenses for that camera.

Hi Ian,

Glad to see you here!

Plently of Canon users here to help you with getting more out of that camera. If there's anything that you are not particular satisfied with in your pictures, post a specific query and we'll be more than happy to see if we can help you with that.

Cheers,

Cheer benny,

A lot of the pictures on my site 'Corycats' date back to the 1970's and 80's. my original gear were a pair of Canon FTB's and to get in close I used a 120 mm zoom with tubes, worked great and gave good depth of field. More recently 2000 I moved up to a T90 and Tamron 100 mm macro. Then came the 300d and I just could not resist. I got the sigma 105 mm macro, the speedlite 550 and a set of tubes to go with it, (What A fabulous tool).

I have not posted any pictures here yet as I have not finished linking up my gallery. Techie things take a while with me, I'm a mechanical engineer by trade, so give me a file and a hacksaw and I am fine.

Ian

Hi Ian,

Whilst a lot of your pictures dates back to the 70's and 80's, they continue to be a great source of reference for all corydoras hobbyist around the world. I started out knowing absolutely ZERO about this species and the quality pictures on your site help me along when literature was scarce.

On the subject of cameras, I really miss the built quality of the Canon FD lenses. I'm still very much in love with them and refuse to part with my A series bodies and lenses. The T90 was my dream camera, but was unfortunately out of my reach financially. Your current inventment will go a long way, and if I may suggest, a ST-E2 wireless transmitter will complete the list and give you great mileage for a long time to come.

Lastly, it might be of interest to you that whilst you may not have finished linking up you gallery, the pictures all already linked in some North Asian aquatic forums.

Cheers,
