Would it be ok to put a small dish of water with a screen over it and a fogger inside in the corner of my crestie cage to keep up the humidity and just for cool looks?

Chad

well if its hot out itll keep them cool but idk it seems kndof extravagent

that sounds like an awesome idea! I don't know how safe it is, I thought foggers use dry ice?

the small water falls that have a place for them are better.... leaves no chance for the animal to come in contact with it and also keeps moving water for them to drink

Well I can rig something up so that there is no chance of him coming in contact with it I am not worried about that. And I already have water for him to drink even though they mostly drink off the walls and stuff. I just want to know if it would otherwise be safe. Like too much humidity or what? And no this fogger is a very small one that creates a mist.

well does the tank have a vent??? whats the humidity in it now??? if you had the fogger what is the humidity? i dont see a problem as long as the gecko cant come in contact with the fogger

Keep in mind also that they prefer humidity in the 70-80% range. I've over misted with like 4 sprays of water, and got a reading that was 100%, so test it out, it could be overkill.

Thanks for the help guys. What can I use to get to most accurate humidity reading?
