Greetings all!
Im new to this awesome forum but not to the hobby.
Right now Ive got 4 tanks going and am about to start a new salt water tank.
I am not a noob.
Anyway, I have had a 15 gallon hex tank for a little over a year. Filtration is a standard hang on the bank filter, which I have always had awesome results with on all my tanks. Lately, however, the water has been getting cloudy. LAst weekend I did a 50% water change on Friday nite followed by a 50% water change on Saturday night and a new filter pad. The water (of course) looked great immediatly thereafter. Now, however, 5 days later, the cloudioness has retruned.
The cloudiness is not particulate - its not stirred up from the bottom. Whatever it s makes the water slightly milky.
The tank has 2 large angels, 1 5 inch blue/channel catfish, 1 4 inch pleco and a 1.5 inch baby Oscar (I know its a crazy tank, but they all get along). Although this tank is defintiely well stocked, I dont think its overstocked. As I said, its always been good - clean and clear until the past two weeks. In fact, all my tanks are always good and clear.
I dont overfeed. What might be causing this miliness in the hex tank - any ideas?

Perhaps you're going through a mini cycle from a bacteria die off. Have you tested the water for ammonia/nitrite levels?

By the way, :welcome: What part of IN are you from?

What are your water parameters? Sounds like high ammonia levels. What type hang on back filter?
