Hello, I've a 8" Jardini arowana, and I've a question for you. What is the best food for an Arowana of this size? How change the kind of food with the age (so I can do a good nutritional profile for every age). Tanks in advance!:)

I believe it is best for the arowana if you have him on a variety of food types suchs as pellets, freeze dried shrimps, and market shrimps. I recently got my three silvers to start eating market shrimps.

I have been feeding mine silversides... came in a brick so i hit it with a hammer and just feed him chunks of fish parts lol. Also to this, I just watched my silver eat a piece bigger than his head.. theese are truly incredible fish..

If you can get him on pellets/sticks do that first, you can always get it to take frozen food later, but it will probably be harder the other way around.

i agree. Pellet train first, after that theyll eat anything..

Pellets as a staple (always a good emergency food). The rest you can feed as you want: live/dead fish, frogs, live/frozen crickets, worms (ewwww), shrimp (i advise to remove shell and head - keep the tail) - some people say that frozen heart is OK (never tried myself).

Personally, i think live food is good from water quality point of view.
