Alright. I'm gonna throw his one out there. What is generally the best food for growing fish with the best colour possible? I have two young geophagus surinamensis and a young apistogramma cacatuoide that I want to grow up looking awesome. I was always told the the brighter the food the better the color so I've been relying heavily on bloodworms. What's the best from your experiences or is it different for every species? Maybe a wide variety is best?

I read a thread about this not long ago here, and some one mentioned that a lot of the color enhancing pellets have color additives added to it to help the fish gain more color... although this may not be the best for your fish's health...

Personally, i'd probably say a range of dietary needs, plus the right type of tank decor will probably help enhance your fishes color best in a natural way... but thats just me...

Most commercial fish food have color enhancing stuff added in, so feeding your fish a good diet of pellets and flakes should color up your fishes nicely. I find good result in making sure my fishes have a well-round diet of pellets, flakes, worms and veggies.
