Food for just hatch frys

My friend has some geo frys just hatch in his community tank. He net frys out in a different tank. The problem is that what is a good food source to feed them? Will egg yolk good for them ? Thanks

Hikari first bites. Finely crushed flakes and baby brine shrimp. I've heard of people using egg yolk but never done it myself.

newly hatched brine shrimp are the best, i have used boiled egg yolk and they ate it and done ok. tetra powdered baby food and as the grow i crush hikari gold up with a garlic crusher.... all for my midas fry... good luck with the fry dude.

He's a little worry because frys have not eat anything he put in since yesterday. Is there possible that frys won't eat because he seperated them from the parent to early ?

he might not notice theyre eating so small ...but they re probably are

Are they free swimming fry or just a cluster of wigglers? Fry don't actually start eating till they freeswim before that they Osborn food from their yolk sacks.

They just hatched on Sunday and they are geos frys. Probably they are still wigglers.

Then they likely still have their yolk sack. Wait till the second day of free swimming they should be hungry then.

Egg yolk is fine from time to time, just needs to be hard boiled and crushed ( squeeze it between ur fingers ). Finely crushed flake food is ok too as a staple if he doesn't want to invest in hatched brine shrimp or hikari first bites and such.
