I was wondering would guppys be a good live food for a clown knife fish?

They are ok, mine didn't royal knife didn't eat them at all. But he did, and still does like ghost shrimp.

I second that, mine loves raw market shrimp, which makes up the bulk of his diet, but also really loves to chase ghosties.

Raw prawn meat works for me... (or my knives that is)

:iagree:

Raw and cooked prawns my one loves them more than anything else this is handy as I have a bag of pealed cooked prawns in the fridge all the time just warm through with warm water bingo, He also loves river shrimps but the problem with feeders ever thing else in the tank eat them before he realises what’s going on.:screwy:

Mine eats all sorts of anything. And then some. They grow fast too:)

What kind of a tank do you have for this beast?

I have a 75 gal. to put him in. I actually want to buy him as a baby. I know of this place where i can buy a knife thats about four inches long. I was going to put him in there all by himself. The reason why i ask about the gupppys is because i was given a 50 gal. corner tank with a bowed front and it is filled with tons of guppys.

My clown eats just about anything. But he is especially fond of market shrimp. Giv e the guppies a shot and see. If he doesnt like them fing something else to feed them to.
