You will first need to get them to accept dry food.

It took me the better part f a year to get most of my Scobina on Granulate(and of of redlarves and tubifex for that matter).

Here they eat Red Mosquito Larves(or your red larves), shrimp, and small cutup fish.

Mussels aren't eaten here.

i picked up a pair of scobina today

the male was fine but the female was very skinny they have been captives for some time

i fed blood and black worms and both seamed to eat it fine

its going to take a long time to get the female back into good health wish me luck as its a long time since i have had to work with a skinny ray

red larvers that wil fatten them up and mussels in litle part's contain's alot of meat.

Its a much smarter idea to feed a new ray whatever it will eat until it actually becomes fat and healthy enough to start starving to break for new foods. Trying to break them when you just get them is way too risky...

What I tried to say with this, is that normally a ray won't take fast to pellets. This was directed at the Hikari Pellet "treat"

Of course you will need to get the rays in good health before you even try something like this.

Scobina appearantly take very well to earthworms, these are a lot better suited than mosquito larvae to fatten up rays as they have a higher nutritional value
