Yep, and as he grows you can also add in frozen tilapia thawed and cut to size.

All my bichirs are fed sinking cichlid gold or sinking carnivores from 3" up.

Mine seem to love Hikari Sinking Carnivore best, but they lived on various Hikari Cichlid pellets for the first 4" I had them.

just make sure to vary the diet and be sure to include some veggies! mine loved the HPH supersoft sinking pellets, and they're already small enough to swallow whole! i also feed them frozen bloodworms and krill with spirulina added as a treat.

My 2.5" bichir chucks down shrimp pellets but sometimes I think they are a chore for him to swallow, looks like it but not sure.
