I've got 3 1.5" silver dollars. So far, I've been feeding them variety wafers and they're eating them.I know they'll eat vegetables and flake.I was wondering what other people are using.Thanks.

I've used lettuce, zucchini, spinach, and peas

I feed my silvers pellets, and occasionally flakes.

Before I sold them I would feed them Omega One Super Kelp pellets. They ate it like pigs, a bottomless pit. Grew fast too. Almost sorry I sold them, they were beautiful fish, but they got too big too fast and overwelmed my 90gal....

Burt:)

pellets, and bloodoworms, although you can feed them almost anything that fits in their mouth which isnt actually that much

Silver Dollars are similar to Pacu, they eat anything they feel like to eat :D :naughty: . So I feed ground beef to my Silver Dollars and Pacu. Man, they love the beef. They grow quick though. :WHOA:
Sometimes I feed them with fruits, salads, corn  , earthworm.
;)

my silver dolars eat krill and bloodworms with ocasional frozen peas and spurlina sinking pellets

What I like to use are flakes, freeze-dried blood worms and brine shrimp. They love it. I try to feed them veggies but i dont think they like it.

Is there any special way to prepare food?

I had some before. One of the easy fish to feed in my opinion. They ate pretty much anything. Beef heart, Brineshrimp, Tubiflex worm, bloodworms, tropical flakes, other fishes' poop, shrimp stick things, and even guppies. They are a pretty fish to have. I have been thinking on getting some more, but they is also about 1000 other fish I'm wanting too.
