I just got a 5 inch wolf fish and was wondering what all to feed it. I searched and didn't find much info. I got him a few feeders but is there something better to feed him and just give him the feeders as a treat. Thx.

try frozen fish in slices. mussels. shrimp. Wonder worms. Mine ( I have 5 ) eat everything of this sort and feeders, once in a while..

miguel, what types of wolves do you have, and in what type of set ups? if you don't mind me asking. i am fascinated with these fish

I feed mine with market shrimp. When he was little like yours, I peeled them and cut them in half. By now, he eats them whole with shell. I also spike each shrimp with 2 catfish tablets (Tetra TabiMin) to enrich his diet.

Try and vary the diet, i used to feed mine on prawns, chicken, beef heart, chop the chicken and beef heart into small chunks. Do you have any other fish with the wolf if you do try and keep the wolf well fed maybe ffed it every day atleast every other day. I used to feed mine towards the end of theday late evening.

When I kept H.mals' they loved earth worms, & market shrimp. Ocational tadpole. Make sure to keep a good sturdy lid on the tank, they can jump with strong force!
