I have an silver arowana for about a month now..the problem is that it is not taking any food besides feeders..Please suggest what should I give him . I m afraid that he might get a dropeye

Have you tried Carnivore sticks made by Hikari my Aro couldn't resist them.:) You may have to skip a day before you try feeding anything else.

Let's try

You will need to be really patient . Very unlikely to happen quickly.
I got My xb at 11 inch, and it ate hikari sticks from day one and every day for 8 months. Then after feeding raw schrimp for 2 days. It went off Sticks completely and didn't touch them for 6 weeks. It ate frozen prawns and fish like crazy when I tried just to see if it was a health issue with him not eating sticks.... But he gobbled up the frozen food quickly when I tried it 3 times in the 6 week period.
Then after 6 weeks it started to take the sticks again but chewing and spitting out. Then another week of only Sticks and its now eating them.properly.like before.
Fussy fish.

Hmm..gonna be real tough ..I m feeding him my fh's red sumo..he tries to gooble it but once it is inside it comes out again.

Might be easier to transition from live to raw shrimp or tilapia. If you can get him on pellets though, that's probably best for the long term.Whenever I was breaking my fish off live, slivers of tilapia (cut to look like small fish) worked best. I didn't have much luck with silversides, and I'm not sure why. I feed all my fish shrimp and tilapia, just cut to different sizes for different fish, but if I could just throw a handful of pellets in at night, it would be a lot easier.

Live crickets and Hikari foodsticks/ Jumbo Carnisticks have never let me down. Whilst crickets are live food, it get the aro to start taking food from the surface, where the Hikari comes in.

+ 1 on the crickets and then throw in a few Carnisticks to float
arround with the crickets sometimes the Aro will eat the stick
bait and not even realize it . It's a start .

Freeze dried blood worms are good to my Aro loves them .

i feed my jardinis raw shrimp from the market. i cut it up into small pieces and feed it to them. it take a while. if your silver arowana is scared or shy mostly it wont eat or will only eat a little. i feed mine raw market shrimps once a day.
