Food question

So As I went around my lfs I saw some mini sinking pellets and only cost $1
Ehh I quickly brought it and thought it was a steal...guess what no it wasn't
because it is expired last month....I couldn't return it, it was a no return store D:
So the question is can I feed it to my frys?
P.S. It wasn't opened
