I'm talkin about those things that people have in their tank so all the food stays inside the ring and the fish come eat out of it. So food doesn't get sucked up into the filter and what not. We just made one and it seems to work pretty well if there is any left over waste, (floating waste anyways) but it is kind of an eye sore. Just trying to figure out if anyone uses them. I think I am going to do away with mine. I could see it would be really helpful with a pond though, that you can't really remove extra food easily.

I don't use them, but I need about six of them.

I use them in my angel tank. I love them. I also leave them in the tank and once in a while rinse them.

nope, i figure if a slight amount of extra bio is gonna make or break my tank.. I need to refigure my filter, feed less, or get smaller fish.

They're rubbish. What if you feed pellets? It only works for floating food. And if you keep your surface water agitated it's too "wavey" to use them.

Pah, move on.

I made mine from 3" ABS. It hangs about 1/4" into the water and is only visible if you get down below tank level and look up, otherwise it is hidden by the trim/hood.

I have noticed a lot less flake going down the overflows since I started using it, I wish I would have thought of it sooner!
