Does anyone know if any/all food safe plastics will be safe in an aquarium? I'm specifically thinking of the black disposable plastic containers that are often used for take out. I think they are a cheaper grade of plastic, but still sturdy enough, and the black is a plus. (I'm making an egg trap.)

Any advice or input on tank safe plastics?

thx!

i'm not 100% sure i know what you're talking about... a pic or link?

Here is a link with some examples that are similar. There are four shown that have the black plastic bottom piece and a clear lid.

The one I am thinking of using is a little sturdier looking than the pictured ones.

Does anyone know about plastic garden pots and saucers in the tank?

I'm pretty sure itll be ok if they're new.

I use the ceramic pots and saucers all the time. Never tried the plastic ones...
