Food stick taste better??

I got a bag of hakari gold cichlid pellet and a bag of hakari gold food stick...

I tasted them both... and they tasted the same to me (shrimp flavor)

BUT

when I dumped into the tank, the arowana chowed down all the food stick and left the pellets alone..

Why's that???

They have almost the same ingredient >.>;; I can't tell the difference >.>;;; and I have more tastebud than the fish >.>;;;

I have a similar question! My aro will eat the floating sticks but not the sinking pellets from hikari. Sup with that? Can you taste those for me?

This happens alot when a fish gets acustomed to a certain type of food. ITs not the taste its the sinking or floating that is the difference.
