someone told me that if i vary my Gouramis food they will become more colourful. does anyone know if this is true?
 
well for most fish actually its good to feed a varied diet, krill is usually best to bring out color:)

I agree.

Depends on the gourami though. A pink gourami would only vary between shades of pink. But a varied diet would give the best chance of optimum coloration.
 
You'll want to vary the diet so your fish will get different vitamins that they cannot obtain easily in just one food source.
