many spiney will take up to a week to settle in and start eating. i wouldnt worry to much atm.

But he's always on the open hides only at nighttime ??ur right I'll give him some time my fire eel and tyre track were never this picky lol except my 16" fire eel will only eat ghost shrimp or night crawlers lol

get some small earthworms, the wigglers will surely turn on his appetite. Ive had a black spotted eel that was picky at first too, didnt eat for almost a week, so dont worry too much.
