ok guys i have a tone of monsters we are taking 3 rtc 1 marble sail fin 1 firewood cat 1 IT 3 pb's a ornate burcher and a zungaro. my 3 newest the wood cat ,zungaro, and IT are not on frozen yet. how the hell do you guys aford to do feeder fish it just cost me 14$ for 3 dozen feeder fish and that is one feeding it runs my that much for 6 pounds of frozen fish (lasts me about 3 weeks) i just dont get y people would want to feed live omg for what i just spent on one feeding for 3 fish i could have feed my whole stock for 3 weeks. i will leave this one open for anything what do you guys think i mean realy it is not only healthier but it is more then 50% cheeper
 
im kinda saprised no one has chimed in on this one what are feeder fish going for by you guys
 
I have compared pricing. It is way cheaper to buy frozen fish, shrimp, and scallops from the grocery store than to buy anything from a pet store. I just get whatever is on sale. Pet food markup is outrageous. I think it's just fun for some people to watch "the hunt" I suppose.

Dang 14 for 3 dozen. My lfs sell em for like 10 for a buck. But as they stated up there^ frozen is cheapest train them to eat frozen asap and you can last a couple weeks without having to buy more. Imma feedaholic and feed em at least five times a day and one bag of shrimp or tilapia will last me almost s month at 5 bucks a pack

I refuse to do feeders fish like guppies and gold fish for my catfish.

My lfs does sales on tetras about once a month at about 50cents a piece I buy 6 or so and the cats will chase them around the tank for weeks
 
o trust me lol i want them off gold fish asap but it is vary hard to do it my big pb took almost 3 months. i hope the wood cat is ezer because i have to put like 36 gold fish in that tank and he might get one or two of them. it is just so much nicer to be able to feed with tongs
 
I buy frozen Shrimp,Talipia,Mussels,Massivore Pellets... I take MP and roll them up in the Talipia with the shrimp cut a slit and place a couple MP inside the shrimp and feed them that way they get some of the nutrition that they need plus brings out their colors... feed 2 a week so they stay lean but healthy & Beautiful
