Does the pellet food need to be kept in the fridge???? I buy the cichlid bio gold and simply make sure all air is out and then just zip it cloed and keep it in the stand below the tank. Is this fine??? I have heard people say food goes stale eventually

well i mean treat it as any other food you would eat - keep it out of the sun and moisture and you'll be ok.
i dont think it needs to be kept in the fridge, but hey i could be wrong. i mean what you are doing can't possibly hurt

food does go stale eventually so that's good not to overstock pellets, but you won't need to keep them in the fridge, just buy about how many you'd use once every 2-3 months and you'll be fine.
