foods for fire eels?

what can i feed my fire eel when he gets bigger?
he eats about 3-4 market shrimp per day now, but i would like to give him some larger shrimp or even crawfish... oh he gets nightcrawlers too.

any ideas for new foods as eels get bigger?

i will have to see about getting his picture on here. how do we load pictures?
 
u can feed him krill blood worms earthworms.....
 
he eats nightcrawlers, but at full size, frozen blood worm and krill wont do much.

was wondering if they would eat bigger stuff that would be good for them like crawfish or bigger shrimp.

^ no how big is he?
 
right now he is about 16 to 18", and hes very happy. he lets me pet him and he eats nightcrawlers, ghost shrimp, krill, market shrimp and bloodworm. even right now, bloodworm and ghost srimp are kinda small for him. maybe thats all he will ever eat lol.

when he gets bloodworm, he will easily eat 8-10 cubes. hes about 1.5" fat. he lives with african cichlids and clown loaches.

what tank size?
cut-up tilapia, silversides
 
OH :) TALAPIA SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD IDEA. HE CAN PRETTY MUCH EAT ANY FISH OR SHELL TYPE FOOD?

HES IN A 125 GALLON. I SAW SOME SITES THAT SAY HE NEEDS A MIN OF 180, BUT I THINK HE WILL BE FINE DUE TO HIM BEING A FLEXIBLE TYPE FISH.

GUESS ILL START GETTING HIM ONTO SOME RAW FISH. UM, IF HE GETS A TASTE OF FISH, WILL HE WANT TO EAT HIS TANK MATES?
 
If silversides dont work, just get the jumbo frozen shrimp at a grocery store. Ive had my eel for 3 years and he ate nothing but nightcrawlers. 2 weeks ago he started on shrimp and ive been giving him the BIG ones and it doesnt take long to fill him up.
