My peacock is holding unfertlized eggs, again. I threw 5 small fry in with her. To see what she will do to them. Typically she would eat them. As fast as she could.

I have about 20 that I am growing out as her tank mates, just need a couple of boys out of the school of fry.

So far they lasted 48 hours, but she is holding eggs. She is very aggressively tail fanning the pleco.
So it's her, a pleco, 2 crawdads, and 5 fry. That resemble her.

She has not ate any of them so far. Their is a moss ball. It's real although.
It's mostly a wide open 75 gallon. Probably drift wood, and a few more rocks. As decor. Maybe a large plastic, synthetic back wall. That will grow algea, or moss.

If u could get fertilized eggs of another species and place it in the nest that would be cool( if it works)

They carry eggs in their mouth.
She has not eaten any of them. She has completely adopted them as her own. I am glad it worked, to get the fry in 75 gallon.

Step mom fish. Had a bad personality, she did not like any fish of her same color. Including her sister.
I have had her with a group of small fry for a while. She shows no agressiveness towards any of them.
So far the Acei hybrids, have not had any disputes amongst them selves. They are all very bold and friendly.

They are starting to color up. The males have blue dorsal fins. They are more orange bodied. 20170223_191925.jpg

They have just started to become interested in girls, I have them still mixed. The pecking order is currently still being disputed.
So far no fins frayed, just flaring and tail bashing.
I will be sorting them pretty soon.
