For just starting fish keeping 3 month ago, i think i have done pretty good. No major mistakes, no fish death and i only returned 2 fish.

I started by being lured into buying 2 albino catfish in a ten gallon, then i found this site. So i returned them and got a few pictus. Less than a week later i got a 75 and have grown my collection of mini catfish very well i might say.

I know have 3 pictus, 2 SA Bumblebees, 2 Spotted Rapheals, 2 Stripped Rapheals, and a Featherfin in the 75. In the ten gallon, i know have breeding ghost shrimp for my catfish and i realized that i need a HUGE TANK WITH HUGE FISH TO BE HAPPY!!!

Thanks MFK's for everything that i have learned and for help me under fish keeping and minimize mistakes.

no prob. hope you get a bigger tank cause those cats can get pretty big. i also just got some 4 line cats. nice fish to watch.

Lol, it's only a matter of time. :grinno: J/k

Seriously thought nice to hear!

good to hear, i always hated hearing of people getting discourged after one or two mistakes and leaving the hobby. all though maybe its a good thing before they get addicted like me??

p.s. you started better then i did. some bullheads, and sunnys didnt mix well with the cheap ick filled guppies and mollys from walmart in a 10 gal, feeding ham to the catfish. takes time but one site to help you along your hobby is this one

Lol, sounds like back when I made that mistake of feeding summer sausage to my piranhas, the one that actually ate it didn't make it.

Congratulations, welcome to the hobby!

Hope you have a big wallet. J/K

Heres a chance to show what i know!:D:D

I have the Pimelodus pictus, they max around 6-7 inches compared to the 4line whivh are around 12 max. All of my little cats dont get big, the featherfin is probably gonna get the biggest at around 9 inches. I am trying to kee[ them in the 75 which by my understanding of the inch rule should be fine, but im always on craigslist for a deal that sooner or later i cant pass up! cough monster tank cough cough...

Sorry everybody, i forgot to mention that i did have one fish die. He swam up the filter and had a fight with the blade and we all know the end of that one.
