A long time friend of mine was killed in a motorcycle accident on Friday. His parents have asked me to help re-home his fish. I have the following available for pick up only in Taneytown, MD. They are free to anyone who will promise to provide a good home. If I catch you selling these fish for profit I will hunt you down and castrate you myself (ladies, I'll find an equivalent punishment, Indiana Jones style).
Preference will go to:
  1. People I've dealt with personally
  2. Teachers who want something for a classroom
  3. People who commit to making a donation to either the Ohio Fish Rescue or Project Piaba in his memory (I will ask to see a donation receipt/confirmation).
The following are available:

  • 1 Red Tiger Motaguense (XL Male) - can come with his full 90 gallon setup.
  • 8 assorted Meytinnis/ silver dollars (L)
  • 1 Marbled headstander (M)
  • 2 green severum (L, possibly a pair)
  • 1 chocolate cichlid (M)
  • 3 Geophagus steidachneri types (S)
  • 5 Geophagus Sveni "Rio Parana" (M, bred by me)
  • 1 flagtail Prochilodus
  • 1 54 gallon corner, full setup
Must pick up next week and come prepared with buckets and nets. Remember that I am grieving and anyone else helping me with this is also grieving.
Seriously inquiries only.
PM me for details, do not comment in this thread.

I am so sorry for your loss. I will be in your area next week.

I would be interested in the silver dollars, geos and flagtail. PM me and I can send you photos of my set ups they'd be going into. They'd go well in my SA 500g.

Let us know if we can help in anyway!

My condolences on the loss of your friend. Judging by the pictures of his fish, he was a responsible and excellent fish keeper who lived life to the fullest. Our hobby just lost a good one. RIP our friend.

I am very sorry for your loss. I have a son that loves fish and has a 75 gallon tank. He has been looking for a tiger montaguense for a while with no luck. Could you hold the tiger montaguense and severums for him a little bit untill can I come to pick them up? Also he swore to god that he will give them a good home and never sell them. Please let me know when we could come to pick them up. Thank you for your consideration.

I volunteir at OHIO FISH RESCUE I am also just good friends with big rich and Josh. I would be more than happy to take some of those fish And give them a good home
