hi everyone,
im just putting this thread up to let everyone know that there is a Portsmouth Aquarist Society...website: www.p-as.co.uk
i didnt even know this was there, but i had met XYRA over here and he informed me of everything. so i went along tonight and met loads of new people that are all as interested in fish as we are!
they hold photo competitions, raffles and people sometimes bring in bits and bobs to sell at a low price and is donated towards the club.
everyone is sooo friendly and welcoming.
at the next meet which will fall on 18th march there will be a guest speaker - Phil Austen - subject to be announced
and the meet after on weds 1st april will be by Les Pearce on brackish water fish.
it is held at the Buckland Community Centre in Northend, Pompey.
anyone down this way is welcome, not just portsmouth residents.
meeting are every 1st and 3rd wednesday of every month, so it generally falls as every other week.
its held from 8pm till 10pm.
drinks and refreshments available at a small cost.
come along on the 18th to come and meet everyone.
