I'm doing tank construction for my grad project, one part of the necessary research is a interview. So if you could awnser the questions, it would be a big help. Be as elaborate in your awnsers as you can.

1. What material did you build the tank from?

2. What sealents did you use, epoxies?

3. How did you asemble it, what kind of joints did you use, what holds it together?

4. If you know the costs of the individual items, what are they?

5. Total cost?

6. Total construction time?

7. Was it worth building it?

8. What would you do diffrent?

Thanks for your awnsers and time.

Search the DIY forum ... there was a guy that built a large tank and went step by step through with pics and material list . Good Luck

can you narrow it down? the questions are too broad, and is a case to case basis1. What material did you build the tank from?

2. What sealents did you use, epoxies?
it could be silicon and epoxies or water proof paints if your using a diff material except for glass
3. How did you asemble it, what kind of joints did you use, what holds it together?
depends on your dimensions
4. If you know the costs of the individual items, what are they?
depends on your dimensions
5. Total cost?
depends on your dimensions
6. Total construction time?
depends on your dimensions
7. Was it worth building it?
always the worth :grinno:
8. What would you do diffrent?
using wood is cheaper if you are to make a monster tank Thanks for your awnsers and time.

I relise this the reason the questions are so broad is because I don't want yes or no awnsers I want to see what everybody did diffrent from me so I can compare them in my paper.

I don't have any pictures on my computer but I built a 48" by 22" by 22" box out of oak venner plywood of 3/4 inch thickness attached with rabbit joints. I cut out the window and will be getting drilled glass that I will seal off with fiberflass tape. then i'm coating the inside with sweetwater epxoy.
