Do you use the Micron cart. for water polishing? If so,how long and what do you do with the filter media while using it? (just want to compare idea's)

I usually use it for abt 12-24hrs. I also put the filter media and sponge in a bucket with some tank water and an air stone to keep the bacteria alive while the water polishing process takes place.

Another question.......How long can I keep the bac on the filter media alive in the bucket?

I just want to hear and share some of the ways to put a magnum 350 to use.

I have a magnum 350. I polish the water once a month and leave the micron running for a couple days. I just throw the media away and replace it cause I have a fluval 404 running as well. I soak the micron filter in bleach water overnight and reuse it. I've never had any problems other than splilling water all over the place when I change it over.

yeah I also have a AC110 running on the same tank but I like to try to reuse all the media. It is cheaper and the bac colony stays going.
