I bought a 240 gallon [and i will be selling my 150g]...the 240 will be ready for pick up in 2 weeks...in the meantime Iv'e been buying a couple canister filters, so far I got an, Fx5, and an Xp4...trying to decide if I should get another xp4 or a marineland mag 350 [or both]..here are my questions...

1. While I wait for tank should I go ahead and put the fx5 and Xp4 on my established 150? Good idea or Bad?

2. When tank arrives what media should I use to cycle new tank? [been YEARS since Iv'e cycled]

3. I use crushed coral in my 150 which I plan to put in 240 and add more thats new.. good idea?

4. I have HOB emp 400's [3] on my 150 should I go ahead and bring one or two of em over to 240 once a couple fish have entered the 240? [two 9 inch Oscars to start]

Thanks.

1: Good Idea, gets filtration cycled b4hand
2: Best is hardy fish like danios. My 55 was cycled by them and never even got an ammo spike
3: Good Idea, But might be a little tricky without disturbing your fish.
4: Sure, but be careful not to disturb your 150.
