Quarantine Tank
For those you who quarnt. their feeders....

What percantage of the feeders that you buy actually die?

I bought some not to feed but just to have as goldfish and see how long they would live about a month ago(as dorky as that sounds). Started with 18, 10 were petco feeders/8 were lfs comets that were super bright orange. Most died off 1-2 at a time and I now have two left.

Well i haven't bought any feeder recently.. but when i used to buy guppies about 10% of them used to die.. But i think it was because i used too much tetracycline... I always add some medi..to the qt tank.. no matter what fish it is..

I always lose around 5-10% of feeders after quarantine

Back in my early years....I quarrantined lots of 50, small goldfish in half cut 5 gallon Alhambra bottles....I would throw in an airstone and feed the feeders crushed flake once a day....Maybe 10 would die in the first die.....But 50 would not last me for a week, due to my hungry folks....

These days, I breed my own feeders in seperate tanks....Not goldfish, but Convicts....Lah-dee-dah,lah-dee-dah....

none of them survive, usually everyone of them gets eaten up :D
i usually caught them from the river and they look pretty much like rosies, but aren't,
and none of them usually die unless there is a power outage or so as they live in those fast streams and need loads of O2
