Anyone who is familiar with these cages knows that the trays that come with them are not designed with the idea of critters who use bedding in mind (chinchillas, rats, etc) as the trays are very low.
I recently found a great cheap replacement for the trays that come with these cages. At my local hardware store Home Depot in the concrete section I found large heavy-duty plastic mixing trays that were 24" X 36" X 8". It was a slight tight fit because of the lip on the tray, but it works great and keeps the bedding and poop inside the cage. It was only $9.99 at my store. Here is a link for what the tray is...
