I have ~50 False Arulius Barbs (Dawkinsia tambraparniei) for sale. They are roughly 1.5" and are already displaying breeding colors (I'm actually pretty sure they are breeding now).

I assume the parents layed eggs in the main tank. How were you able to hatch these without the eggs being eaten by the parents or the other fish.

It's a few things: the fry end up growing out in the overflow towers of the main tank. I'm always pulling baby fish out of the overflow towers. Also, the last batch of babies I sold must have been laying eggs, because when I sold a big group of them about a year ago, there ended up being a ton of babies in the sump (I was keeping them in the sump, so they wouldn't get eaten in the display tank). These Arulius barbs breed like rabbits.
