the true colomesus psitticus! I've not seen these for sale, ever! just like the true tetradon schoutedni, has not been traded in the recent 24 years of my fish keeping years.
After pustulatus got checked off, this species became my grail puffer. No one could get these in. Those look to be little juvies, but they sure do look sharp. Any idea what the asking price for these is? Too bad it is Japan.
And I wonder what conditions they were collected in ... brackish or salt?
they're only like 40 bucks each., not bad considering how infrequent you see them. I don't have any additinal info. on them. I'm not sure why they're not collected more often or imported. Probably they're found in Estuaries, where most south american ornamental fish exporters do not collect and ship out of.
