simi valley calif.
so i bought a 12'x17' pond liner today from my local hardwhere store(true value)comes in on monday. i paid $160 with tax. this weekend i hopefuly will have time to frame in the structure ,roughly 5'x12'x32"tall.im doing this project on a tight budget as i also started a 24 gallon sw this last sat. nite.:nilly:also ordering up about 300 feet of steel for my 4x4s this week.but i will keep posting with progress.this is gonna be cool because my big boys are getting too big for my 300.32"rtc(hoover),32"black pacu(mongo)34"sliver aro(drawbridge):) the zoo gets bigger and bigger everyday. see ya

i started to clean out the spare room where its going to go.the first thing i have to do is put a door to block this room from the rest of the house. im going to take advantage of the humid area and also house my daughters trantulas and snakes as they thrive on humidity.hopefully it will be a little jungle so to speak. with these fish listed what plants do you guys think will be best.this is my first pond for myself and i want all live plants.pics will come,it kinda sux that i started a 24gal sw reef at the same time(money pit).but def. worth it:)as i go on you guys will find out that i am one of the crazy ones on this site(i will offer no scientific facts just 30 yrs exp in fish keeping)i try my best.thanks for your intrest and i will keep posting until done.see ya

live plants? My red bellied pacu stripped my planted tank bare! They even munched my swords...as bad as my Uaru, but hey at least it keeps them healthy...... I like they way you think though dude...I would love some tarantulas, but the misus draws the line there!

the tranutlas are way cool(my 11 yr old daughters idea of a pet)we have about a dozen of the coolest bird eating spiders on the market.very colorful and you dont have to plug them in.:) back to the pond. i get my liner tomorrow:) im thinking about dividing the pond into one big section and one grow out section for different size cats and what ever? my plans for size are 5'x12'x36"tall.has anyone put view window mated up with a liner?if so im looking for different ideas for waterproofing a view window.i figured if im going to go 36" tall i would be dumb not to put window. any thoughts?
