I have a 125 that I set up a few weeks ago. I put an established cannister filter on there and started the fishless cycle. I got impatient because I saw some fish for sale that I wanted to put in there, so I added BioSpira on week 2 along with another cannister filter wich was new(no established media). One thing I noticed is that all my water paramaters(ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite) spiked. I assume this is normal and according to BioSpira, its still safe to add fish? How long does it take for these readings to come down and should I do a water change if it doesn't come down after a while or just wait it out? It's been 4-5 days now. I have my fish in there now(3 days).

TIA

I don't think it's safe to add fish with ammonia and nitrite present. Add some Prime to neutralize it.

Yikes,

Just have some patience. Go to the Seachem website and you will see that prime is only a quick fix. I recommend letting the readings drop on their own, add a small of fish watch them spike and drop and repeat. It takes time to do it right but its best for the fish.
