I'm hoping someone out there can help me with this one. I have three canas apple snails (2 males and 1 female) as well as a Florida Apple snail. My Florida and Canas bred but only gave me a infertile clutch. Well about two weeks ago my female canas and largest male canas produced a nice sized clutch. It isn't looking like they are fertile though 
My mystery snail clutches you can tell are fertile or not by day three. So, that being said, is it likely that this clutch is in fact infertile or do cana clutches take longer to develop? If the clutch is infertile, is there anything I can do to better the odds of the clutches being fertile in the future?
BTW, All of my canas are of breeding size (female is approx 2", 1 male is also approx 2", and my other male is approx. 3")
