A buddy had a pit whose best friend was my 3 legged cat(No, he wasn't the cause!) He was an abuse rescue that had every reason to be mean, but was an absolute sweetheart, loved everybody. My friend had him 16 years and the only time he even snapped at somebody was when an idiot fired a 9mm he shouldn't have even had.

i've always wanted a pit... but sadly you need to go get a license for one over here, and go through a psych test to check the persons personality or something which is why i will probably never own one... since the system over here loves judging a book by its cover...

pit bulls are just another fad, like boxers, huskys and dalmations
when a dog gets popular people start breeding them without looking at genes or looking at who their selling to them
and when the market gets flooded with so many of these dogs
that is when attacks start

it happened with all sorts of breeds before
but eventually it should pass IMO
