ok, i almost never feed sinking pellets, and after stupidly not reaidng what i was ordering, i now have 2 pounds of sinking food:irked::irked::irked:

when you guys feed sinking, do you turn the filters down/off?? i notice the food sinks faster than the fish seem to get to it, and im getting quite annoyed by it

i run an xp3, so it wont harm it at all if i turn the flow rate down, and forget to turn it bakc up for awhile say, will it??

never had a problem if there is excess get some bottom feeders
then again my fish are practically jumping out of the tank to be fed and eat half of it as soon as it hits the water

Either feed slowly, which could be a big hassle if you have alot of fish.

I don't turn anything off. I usually using floating though but my jag only eats the sinking. I would just feed normally, they will go down and eat it within awhile.

Same here.

I only feed sinkin because i have a lot of bichirs and cl. My top dwellers for instance arowanas all go to the bottom to eat. But i was wondering for u ppl that feed floating pellets. How do ur bichirs and clown loaches eat while its floating.... I rather have floating pellets zo its easier to net but from ur guys expeirence is it difficult for the bottom dwellers to eat if the surface

My bichir will eat at the top. I think I just have a crazy bichir or something. Everyone says theirs stays at the bottom, mine swims all over the place. Up down in the middle, everyewhere. I have put in bloodworms and he will come up and eat while the others are too. Weird I know, lol.

I usually feed the bichir sinking carnivore though, either way he eats at the top and at the bottom.

lol same here my oscars and sharks never let a pellet drop to the bottom lol.

i was thinking of bottom feeders, but im not sure how anything but a pleco would fair well in my 75g against 4 nippy as hell fish that all think they each run the tank. problem is, i know most plecs wont eat very much uneaten food from my past experiences with them.

as for bichirs eating, the 3 i have right now, plus my other senegal that bailed from the tnak a few months ago all come to the top to eat. they cruise the surface of the water and eat just like a normal fish would.

synodontis cats, clown loaches, or large green cories are your answer

When I feed sinking to my Green Terror and it sinks faster then he can get it, he just goes to the bottom and picks it up lol.
