in my own little world
Hi all,

unfortunately my 2 pikes (Crenicichla acutirostris) that i won in the feb raffle is not doing to well with my dats and they are being out competed for food. i dont want to leave these 2 guys in the 60 gallon tank so i am looking to trade these off.

i will not ship since i dont know how but i can meet up with anyone around the so cal area (i am in 626 area ). i dont really want to sell them since i did win them through the raffle so dont want to make any money off them.

they are currently eating frozen bloodworms and cut up pieces of market shirmp.

i would prefer some baby frontosa (Mpimbwe or moba) but may be interested if you got something interesting. Hit me up.

sorry for the blurry pics. these were taken 2 days after they were in my tank. they are around 9-10in (eye ball measurement).

i cant really tell you if they are male or female either, not a pike expert. :grinno:

its ashame they arent working out... GL... wish you were near here, id go buy some frontosas :D

bump for me...

i guess i will even take money so i can go out and buy some fronts. $120/pair?

dont know what they are worth so if this is too much. please enlighten me.

yea. i would rather trade someone for some baby fronts or maybe a black arrow (i gladly pay the difference if something traded is worth more) but cant find anyone with anything. The pikes aren't agressive enough to get to the food with the dats in the tank. damn those little bastards :swear: but love them to death so the pikes got to go.

tried putting it with the little tig and they started to attack the tig also.

hope i dont give out the wrong idea but i am still very grateful for MFK and Jeff for the fish.

that's strange, I've never owned a pike but from what I have seen they are VERY fast aggressive feeders. Thought they'd compete with dats no problem.

from the info p-power gave us on this pike, he said that these are generally considered the less aggressive pikes, rather friendly when compared to other pikes

yea, after owning them i believe this to be very true.

anyone???

will consider catfishes also now (no RTC/TSN of course, they get too damn huge).
