Hey guys, i recently had to move into an apartment (long story), but ended up not being able to keep my bigger fish tanks a 65 and a 29. My parents now are enjoying the hobby and i guess thats a good thing. Anyways, i can have a 10 gal, and i guess thats better than nothing. what do you guys suggest, i have had and bred guppies, and convicts. looking for something different,( felt guilty about putting the breeding cons in a 10, and thats what is in the 29 now). I walked through the LFS and petsmart today and wasnt impressed with anything that i would feel moraly just to put in a 10 gal.
suggestions please?

Anything under 75 is best suited for salt, planted, or a sump IMO. But that's just me.

I have some random catfish that would do alright in a 10g. See if you can find a South American Bumblebee cat. They get like 4" tops.
I had to downsize recently too so my 180 is sitting empty. It sucks.

bumblebee cats are interesting, but very reclusive...I'd go with something like a few blind cave tetras. I wouldn't do SW in small tanks, but that is up to you...planted would look nice too, with some small tetras or livebearers

Blind cave fish are really cool. I've come to like them more and more. I've got a mix of different types of danios & cherry barbs, and love that setup. You could also go for inverts. Crayfish or shrimp could be cool in there.

I'd probably plant it really heavily, if it were me. a 10 gal can grow plants with stock lighting & cheap ferts every once in a while.
