formula for tank size?

if someone could remind me of the formula for figureing out tank size that would be cool. i cant remember anymore.

if you do it all in inches its length x width x height divided by 231. Again that is for inches. This can easily be found on google. Just type in cubic cm to gallons. cubic feet to gallons etc
 
in metric it LxWxH in cm divided by 1000 = liters

example 4x2x2/ 123x62x62/1000 = 472 liters / 124 gal
 
To the right of the MFK logo at the top left of your screen, is a line of links. Click on "Conversions". Just plug in your numbers. Much easier than trying to remember a formula and having to do the math.
 
alright thanks, no im not realy building a monster tank, im thinking of getting a 180G or something around that size.but i dont want the typical 6X2X2, i was thinking more like, 72"X30"X24", wich that is actualy more like 225G so im not sure what im doing yet, i just posted this thread cuz i couldnt remember the formula
