I have a Vittatus rather than a Forks and I have had it 20 months where it has grown from about 3" to I'd guess now 15" it doesnt sit still to measure. Even though its only about 15" it requires a lot more space than my similarly sized peacock bass, arowana, gars etc as they literally don't remain still. When he eats he uses the full length of my 9ft tank to zoom for food

They are amazing fish and mine is my favourite most prized fish but I would say an 8x3x2 minimum for one my fish's size and obviously mine will keep growing.

From what I can gather other fish keepers I know with them have got them to about 20-24" so it remains to be seen whether my 9x3x2.5 will be enough but I will thin my stock out along the way to try and keep this magnificent creature

Not much help for Forksheli sorry but hopefully useful with AFT as a whole.

Coo thank you. I have had atf before and swore never again. I am currently working on getting a 12 (might be 10) ft x 4 ft x 3 ft. I wonder of it will be big enough

That tank size would be perfect for a forskahlii. 10x4x3 would do..

That tank size sounds epic and totally fine for a FATF

Lucky fish that 4ft width will be so good
