Forum Lingo and such

While most of the terms like WC (Wild Caught) and LFS (Local Fish Store) are fairly easy to make out after a short time there are some that I see once in a while that I am curious as to what they mean. For instance I see the term F1 used a lot but I don't know what it means.

Can anyone tell me what F1 means and if there is somewhere on this site (or somewhere else) where one can go to see what the lingo means?

F1 is the spawn of wild caught parents.

F1 isn't forum lingo, its scientific speak for 'first generation caprive bred', F2 second generation, F0 wild caught etc etc.
