My fossi that I've had for about a year now has finally decided to start coloring up

That males looks great, as do the number of females, (or subordinate males)
When my male hit about 12", he started courting the females in my 150 gal very hard, killed a few off, until he and a female paired up, then he started killing all the other fish in the tank, so I removed all but the pair.
They spawned, and it would be amazing seeing 60 x 1"+ fry cram into her mouth.

A 12" Rostratus would be a sight to see! This one is probably only 6" or so but he was displaying today I think that's where his color finally came from. Was nice to see him finally full body colored.
Especially when you try to net them and they shoot like a rocket under the sand!
Looking good. He's still very young. Wait to you see him when hes pushing a foot long. They really are a wonderful looking fish.
