So there's a lungfish on CL. I was hoping you all might be able to ID it for me. I'm pretty sure it isn't a South American Lung (which is the one that would be best suited for my aquariums). Apparently it's close to 2' long, and it has killed before.

I was hoping to put it in my 180 for now, and holding on to it for my 240 "Ancient Fish Tank".

Here 's the link. Input is always appreciated. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/for/4832470503.html

That's a West african. Very aggressive, have only seen them cohabit with other fish maybe twice.

Yeah, I figured he would be risky. I don't feel like losing any of my fish. I've got an Odoe, an silver aro, and a common wolf all around or under 16". This guy is bigger than everyone and there's no telling who he'll murder.

$50 seems like a hell of a deal though! I just don't want another species tank... I've got enough of that going on right now.

I house my WAL and Dolloi together. They used to rip the heck out of each other, but don't any more. The Dolloi is about 28" and the WAL is about 20" They have both killed before, but have quit fighting. I am going to throw a fish in one of these days to see if the aggression is a thing of the past now. My goal is to put them in a community some day. King El on here has plenty of pictures of lungs of his with others successfully.

Geeze! I just found King El on YouTube. The lungfish are not the things that I would worry about in that tank. I wonder if his fish know that they're all supposed to kill each other. I hope they don't read about themselves on MFK, or he's going to have a problem.

Awesome tank though! Gives me a bit of hope.
