I live out in San Bernardino and live next to a natural wash. It's a dried up river bed and I walk it every other day. I noticed the sand in this river bed looks close to what I want to use in one of my tanks. it's clean and i have used the river rocks and some of the wood in some of my tanks that I have from this river bed. Now would it be wise if I use thihs sand for a convit tank that I have? if anyone can help me with this please responed I sure could use the help or advise from you all.

just to be sure if you really wanna use it in your tank wash it thoroughly until it clears out, river water may look clean but who knows what kind of contaminants have been washed in there.
